Creative Indoor Vertical Wall Gardens
Posted on February 11 2015

I don’t know about you, but in my small home, horizontal surfaces are few and far between. I wish I had a giant sideboard that I could march a dozen herb plants down, or multiple table tops to spread out my fern collection. but still want to grow an indoor garden of some variety. That’s ok, because we found these inspiring ideas for creative indoor vertical wall gardens! Use that vertical space to create a garden, because nothing creates real life in a room more than plants and flowers!
Our first idea is these small tin buckets attached to repurposed wood… Easy but amazing! Herbs are a great choice, or leafy greens, ferns or other greenery.
‘Room 6 Design’ has a short tutorial for these vertical hanging buckets, easy project, I would love to see this in a kitchen!
Susie Frazier created this vertical garden and tells you just how to do it. I love the clean lines of this project, it just looks neat and tidy.
From ‘Ten June’, this Ikea bucket planter wall makes a big impression. Michelle simply hangs them with picture hangers, and pops in a plant!
From ‘Hack the Life’, this Ikea hack wine rack planter is very cool. Why do I think it’s so cool? Possibly because I have the exact same wine rack, which has been waiting to be hung for months now… Maybe this is a better use!
On ‘Design Milk’ we found the ‘Opot‘… this is a cool product that provides a plastic film and two eyelets to hang these unique planters…
Wooly Pocket has their Living Wall Planter that is so cool, because it’s easy to hang and plant in directly on the wall. It also is self watering, and vented for good root growth.
