The Arturo Alvarez Woods Pendant is an abstracted view of nature, featuring a dense grove of birch wood that floats around a radiant light. Much like a growing tree gravitates and grows towards the sun, the planks of wood are nurtured by the light source within, creating a natural interplay of light and shadow. Suspended individually and at different lengths, the birch encircles the light source in an irregular bundle, filtering light through the openings as well as aiming light below the fixture.
